Wow! I’m totally devastated that none other than Nipsey Hussle, California rapper and owner of Marathon Clothing, was gunned down tonight. As a Cali born and raised individual, I take great pride in where I come from and it hurts to see such an influencer such as himself, taken so early at the young age of 33. Notably a son, father and businessman, Nipsey impacted so many lives and made it his business to leave his mark in this world. Rising from gang activity as a youth and transforming his life to become a solid rapper and influential pillar in his community, Nip developed a love for technology and community development. He found strength in returning to his roots to honor artistic achievements amongst African Americans. My heart goes out to his family, kids and the love of his life, Lauren London. There are no words to express the pain and anguish felt at this time. My hope is that we can all rise together for greater good and cease destructive measures. A community is in mourning and California lost a solid one tonight. My motto I stand by is to do ALL things in love…he DID that! No one knows the time or place. The best way to bring about change is through impact. Ermias Asghedom, affectionately known as Nipsey Hussle, is our very own Eritrean king. Although his life was cut short, he fulfilled his earthly mission and now transcends on to do greater work from heaven. RIH Nip, job well done!
